Issue 4, May 2009

Welcome!

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the fourth issue of the Passion 101 Newsletter! It is my intention to provide you with monthly information that will help you Enhance, Re-Inspire and Re-Ignite your Relationship with your partner.

The Passion 101 Newsletter continues to be a great success and I invite you to write me and let me know what YOU would like to have me write about on these pages. What interests you? What issues are you facing? What nurtures you? How can I best provide you with help and service? As in any relationship, our relationship will expand as you communicate with me how best to serve and support you.

Please contact me at drsheck@passion101.com and let me know what you would like to see in this newsletter AND what you would like to see on the Passion 101 Website.

I’ve been writing a lot this month for my new blogsite at:

http://www.passion101.com/blog

It has many new posts which include my original thoughts, as well as great passion quotes and links to other interesting articles on Passion. I’ve also written a new special report called:

20 Habits To Maintain Romance

New Subscribers to the Passion 101 Newsletter will receive the link to the report automatically. If you are a current subscriber, I’ve already emailed you the link. If you haven’t received it, please email me requesting it. The “20 Habits” can change your relationship!

Thank you so much,

Dr. Adam Sheck

Passion Quotes

Tell me who you love, and I’ll tell you who you are.

–Creole saying

To laugh often and love much… to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to give one’s self… this is to have succeeded.

–Emerson

“There is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the passion of life.”

– Federico Fellini

Dancing For Passion

You know, in many ways, dancing is similar to couples therapy. In fact, I use this metaphor often with couples and recommend them to go out dancing or take dance lessons as well!

There’s a reason why “Dancing With The Stars” is such a success. Dancing is romantic! Dancing is sexy! Dancing is passionate! Dancing is about finding a rhythm with a partner. Not my rhythm or your rhythm, but OUR rhythm.

So dancing is a form of bonding, a shared activity which requires us to be a team, a partnership. It requires us to communicate together on a number of levels: physical, mental, emotional and sensual.

It’s also great exercise, which makes us look better and FEEL better. It’s a great stress reducer and we all have stress in our lives that needs to be reduced, don’t we? And it’s fun! We laugh together as we move through our mistakes. And, we laugh and smile as well as we finally triumph and find our shared rhythm.

We get to be impressed with each other’s discipline and mastery, and respect each other’s dedication. We get to practice our communication skills and learn to lead and follow. We learn to stop “stepping on each other’s toes” which is another great metaphor. And sometimes we even get to fall in love with each other all over again.

So what are you waiting for? Go out and dance!

Dr. Adam Sheck

P.S., If this has inspired you in some small way, please share it with a friend. You are welcome to forward this newsletter to anyone that you feel would benefit from it.
